About Us
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is the World's largest advocate and catalyst for change for women in engineering and technology. SWE inspires women to achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders.
The DelMar Peninsula Section was chartered on April 24, 1999 by the SWE Board of Directors. Prior to the chartering of the DelMar Section, members were part of the Philadelphia Section. With the large number of technical companies located in Delaware, it has been estimated that there are approximately 400 women engineers in Delaware.
